BCA attend Professional Wheelchair Basketball match at University of Worcester

February 5, 2026

Last Friday evening (30th January 2026), a group of students led by Miss Simmonds visited the University of Worcester to watch a professional wheelchair basketball match. It was a really good experience and something many had not seen before. The standard of play was high, and it was interesting to see the speed, skill and teamwork involved in the game. The athletes showed excellent coordination, strength and determination, which made the match exciting to watch.

The trip helped students learn more about disability sport and challenged some common stereotypes, the game was fast-paced and highly competitive. With Worcester wolves narrowly taking the win! Overall, the trip was enjoyable, educational, and inspiring, and it gave the students a greater appreciation for wheelchair basketball as a professional sport.
