Blue Coat pupils tour Oxford University campuses.

May 20, 2025

On Tuesday 13th May, a group of year 10 students toured Oxford University where they were given the opportunity to visit 2 colleges: Oriel and St. Hilda’s. They were given a unique insight into life as a university student by taking part in a question-and-answer session with current first years.

Those involved were a credit to Blue Coat as they were extremely engaged and well-mannered throughout, gaining praise from the visit organiser.

Our pupils commented on how the trip had really opened their eyes to the possibility of attending such esteemed universities that are held in high regard.

Thank you Mr Hendy for accompanying the pupils on such an eye-opening and worthwhile trip.

Trips like this are vital in raising the aspirations of our pupils by giving them access to more types of information and places that are an option for them (Right 17- Access to Information)
