World Wildlife Day Poster Competition

March 3, 2026

United Nations World Wildlife Day (WWD) is celebrated every year on 3 March to celebrate wild animals and plants and recognise the unique roles and contributions of wildlife to people and the planet.

The WWD2026 Theme is Medicinal and Aromatic Plants: Conserving Health, Heritage and Livelihoods.

“People everywhere rely on wildlife and biodiversity-based resources to meet our needs – from food, to fuel, medicines, housing, and clothing. For us to enjoy the benefits and the beauty that nature brings us and our planet, people have been working together to make sure ecosystems are able to thrive and plant and animal species are able to exist for future generations. So, let’s celebrate wildlife and the important conservation work being done around the world!”

As such, Mrs Virk as lead of the Eco-Committee, has asked pupils to create a poster about the benefits of plants. All entries will need to be submitted by 27th March 2026 to Mrs Virk (Room 8) or Miss Smith (LRC Office) There are prizes to be won so get crafting, colouring and creating. We look forward to seeing your designs.
