Year 10 visit the University of Wolverhampton’s annual Scifest

July 7, 2025

On the last Friday of June staff had the pleasure of taking 64 Year 10 students to the University of Wolverhampton for the annual Scifest event. All pupils were extremely well behaved and really enjoyed their day in a positive way. They walked around campus in groups and engaged with all the variety of STEM experts that were on offer giving them a glimpse into how the subjects link in the real world. This provides valuable information for our pupil’s next steps, career choices and the employment pathways that are open to them.

All pupils were well behaved and demonstrated our Bluecoat values throughout the whole day. Towards the end of the day pupils commented on how the day had been a positive experience which they really enjoyed.

As a Rights Respecting School we understand that the aims of education extend far past the classroom and developing the pupil’s personalities, talents and abilities are just as important (Right 29)
