Year 7 Streetwise Workshop

October 14, 2025

On Monday 6th October 2025, Year 7 took part in a road safety workshop. This consisted in them seeing a production of Streetwise followed by a workshop looking at the different aspects of the production.

The session covered important subjects such as
• Dangers and distractions around roads
• Identifying risk pupils take around roads and the consequences of their decisions.
• Peer pressure and strategies to overcome this
• Encouraging the use of using appropriate places to cross such as school crossing patrols, zebra crossings and light-controlled crossings

This was a great afternoon enjoyed by all the students in year 7. Thanks to Walsall Council for funding such a beneficial opportunity for our pupils.

Workshops like this are vital in ensuring our youngest pupils understand how to keep themselves and others safe which is Right 6 (Life, survival and development).
