Last Tuesday, we welcomed a team from the Royal Navy who worked with our year 9 students. They worked with each group on communication skills, teamwork and STEM. The groups were set the task, as a group, to build the tallest radio mast, which had to be free standing and be able to withstand a rigorous test to remain upright after Hurricane Rod’ passed through the hall.
This was a great day which really encouraged our pupils to think outside the box and work in a team.
Thanks so much to the Royal Navy and Miss Addison for providing such an incredible opportunity for our pupils.
Being able to ‘share thoughts freely’ (right 13) and have ‘access to information’ (right 17) are 2 rights which workshops such as this are able to promote.
