Blue Coat Church of England Academy would be delighted to welcome you to our Open Evening on Thursday 5th October 2023. (5:30-8:00pm)
Blue Coat Church of England Academy has a long standing and proud history in Walsall, with the schools origins dating back to 1656. The Blue Coat Foundation has an impressive record of providing excellent Christian education for students. In the modern world, the lives of young people may be completely different, but the desire to be well educated within a caring family lives on in the heart of staff, students and their families and friends. We serve a wide and diverse community and are recognised as a good and continually improving school, committed to developing children as individuals whilst promoting our Christian values of wisdom, endurance, service, kindness and hope.
Our strong Christian ethos is central to all we aspire to achieve and as a community we thrive on developing positive relationships and building mutual respect. This was recognised during an Ofsted inspection in January 2023 which reported:

There are positive relationships between staff and pupils. Staff know their pupils well, and pupils feel cared for. Staff have high expectations, and pupils live up to these.”
At our Open Evening you will get the chance to take a look around the school, guided by our students. You will meet various members of staff who will give demonstrations showcasing their lead subject, as well as answering any questions you may have. Children are encouraged to attend with parents/carers, to get a feel for the school before you submit your application.
