Community Street Audit – Living Streets

January 26, 2024

Living Streets are a UK charity whose mission is for walking to be the best option for everyday local journeys. They want walking to be for everyone, by educating us on why walking is so good for you, and by making streets more accessible for us. You can read about their 2020-25 strategy here.

Currently, they are undertaking a partnership with Walsall Council and Transport for West Midlands to look at how certain routes can be improved for walking and wheeling. One of the routes they are looking at is close to Blue Coat Academy, running from St Matthew’s Church to the Arboretum.

They would really appreciate having your insight into what could be improved in this area. If you could fill in their survey, you can describe your experiences of walking along this route, including whether you use any mobility aids like wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
