NHS Orthodontic Services Survey

October 23, 2023

The local NHS would like to gather the views of children and young people and their parents and carers on how NHS Orthodontic* services could be provided in Walsall and Birmingham, and they would like your help. They are undertaking this piece of work because some NHS Orthodontic providers have recently terminated their NHS commitment. This means they need to procure services to meet the gap in provision. To get the most efficient and effective service, they want to listen to patients and the public to understand what is important to them when accessing orthodontic services. The NHS are running a listening exercise until Sunday 7 January 2024, and it would be greatly appreciated if you could complete their survey. Click to complete the survey.

An easy read version of the survey can be accessed here.

*Orthodontic treatment (usually with braces) is most often used to straighten crooked, protruding or crowded teeth, and to correct problems with the bite of the teeth. It is usually only started after most of a child’s adult teeth have come through. The NHS orthodontic treatment is free for people under the age of 18 who have a clear health need for treatment.
