Blue Coat Students celebrated our annual Number Day event. Students complete mathematics questions and must identify the member of staff who has the answer displayed on their person. Donations for the event are given to the NSPCC.
December 2023
Blue Coat Academy Sixth Form threw their annual Christmas party inviting a number of residents from the local care homes and also the St Matthew’s OWLs group. It was an exciting evening with Christmas carols sung by our choir and dances performed by Mrs Haines’ dance group as well as solo performances. All invitees left with a Christmas present donated by staff and students and a belly full of delicious Christmas dinner.
Lent 2023
The charity chosen for our annual Lent Appeal this year is NOAD. NOAD is a non-profit network, that provides low cost income generation skills and supports family farms and rural groups.
December 2021
Blue Coat Students and Staff donated £248 and a van load of food to the AbleWell Advice Service Foodbank to support local families during the festive period. Staff fundraising and staff donations also raised £600 to spread joy to local children for Christmas.
October 2021
On Wednesday 20th October, we held our annual Macmillan coffee morning. The event was open to staff and sixth form. We raised a total of £326.18. Please see our Newsletter for photographs.

Students raised £2070 for Save the Children and Muslim Aid, through a range of events in school. A fantastic achievement.

Staff and students took part in Number Day raising over £110 for the NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children). Staff were all issued with a number, with students having to answer a number of mathematical questions by finding the correct staff member. The student with the most correct answers won a Kindle, with the runners up from each class also receiving a prize. Well done to everyone who took part.
